You can help minimize billing issues by being familiar with your plan, and by bringing a current insurance card to every appointment. You should also always be prepared to make a copayment, as this is often required by your contract with your insurance plan. Knowing your deductibles, which benefits are covered, and being aware of which labs and hospitals are preferred is always helpful.
Here at Sunnyside Pediatrics, we understand that medical emergencies and sick kids are not planned and budgeted for. We offer automatic, monthly payment plans to be deducted from your debit card, VISA, Mastercard or Discover card on the day of the month that best suits your budget. There are so many changes happening within the health insurance field that it is hard to keep up! If you have any questions concerning your current health insurance plan or are considering switching your health insurance, please do not hesitate to contact our billing office at 801-953-1220.
Our billing office is only as good as the information that is provided to us! Please remember that it is your responsibility to verify coverage eligibility and benefits with your health insurance company before every appointment. If your insurance company requires that you chose a PCP (Primary Care Physician) please be sure that you have contacted them at least one week before your appointment to make sure they have the correct PCP selected. If one of the physicians at Sunnyside Pediatrics is not listed on your health insurance card we will have to reschedule your appointment.
Please be aware that our office has a 24hr Cancellation/No Show Policy. If you cancel your appointment without 24hrs notice or if you do not show up for your scheduled appointment our office may charge you $20.00 for each child that is scheduled.
